Zapping nerves to stop sleep apnea

NCT ID NCT07303452

Summary

This study is testing a new device that uses mild electrical pulses to stimulate nerves in the throat during sleep. The goal is to keep the airway open and reduce breathing pauses in adults with obstructive sleep apnea who cannot use standard CPAP machines. Researchers will implant small electrodes near neck nerves and measure changes in sleep apnea severity over time.
