NCT ID NCT06779123
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 23 times
Summary
This study tests a non-invasive device worn on the ear that sends mild electrical pulses to the vagus nerve, aiming to reduce inflammation in people with moderate-to-severe rheumatoid arthritis (RA). The trial includes 128 adults whose RA has not improved with standard biologic or targeted drugs. Participants will use the device daily for 12 weeks, and researchers will measure joint pain, swelling, and other symptoms to see if the treatment works better than a sham device.
