Scientists probe Brain's pain pathways in search for better migraine relief
NCT ID NCT06022848
Summary
This small study aimed to understand how a nerve stimulation device might change the way people with severe chronic migraines or cluster headaches feel pain. Researchers compared six patients getting the device to people having other surgeries and healthy volunteers. They used pain sensitivity tests and measured certain chemicals in the body to see if the treatment altered the brain's pain processing system.
