Zapping nerve pain: stanford tests new relief for chronic sufferers

NCT ID NCT06741579

Summary

This study is testing if a nerve stimulation device, added to standard medical care, works better than standard care alone for reducing chronic nerve pain in the lower back, pelvis, or legs. About 150 adults with long-term pain from a specific nerve injury will be randomly assigned to one of the two treatment groups. The main goal is to see which group has more people who cut their average pain in half after three months.
