Nerve block offers smoother recovery after breast surgery

NCT ID NCT06120439

Summary

This study compared two anesthesia approaches for patients undergoing breast-conserving surgery with lymph node biopsy. Researchers tested whether a targeted nerve block (PECS) leads to better recovery quality than general anesthesia. They measured recovery scores, pain levels, and vital sign stability in 96 patients to determine which method provides a smoother postoperative experience.
