New nerve block aims to ease pain and speed recovery after hip surgery
NCT ID NCT07458360
Summary
This study is testing whether a specific nerve block, given alongside standard pain relief, helps patients recover better after hip replacement surgery. Researchers will compare recovery quality, pain levels, and opioid use in 80 patients who receive either the nerve block or standard care. The goal is to see if this targeted approach improves the early recovery experience while preserving leg muscle strength.
