This study looked back at 72 children treated over 20 years for a rare kidney cancer (Wilms tumor) that had spread into the large vein carrying blood to the heart. The goal was to find the best surgical approaches to improve survival and reduce complications. No new treatments were tested; instead, researchers analyzed past medical records to create better surgical guidelines.
