Immunotherapy before surgery may stop colorectal cancer from coming back

Summary
This study tests whether giving the immunotherapy drug pembrolizumab before surgery can safely improve outcomes for people with a specific type of colorectal cancer (MMR-deficient). About 88 participants with high-risk stage 2 or stage 3 disease will receive up to 9 weeks of pembrolizumab, then have surgery, and be followed for up to 5 years. The goal is to see if this approach helps remove the tumor completely and delays or prevents the cancer from returning.
