First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 20 times

Summary

This study compares two surgical timings for newborns with Tetralogy of Fallot, a serious heart defect. About 160 full-term babies will be randomly assigned to receive repair within 28 days of birth or at the standard 3-6 months. The goal is to see if earlier surgery reduces death and the need for repeat procedures, while preserving heart function.
