Zapping ankle pain: can a tiny needle bring relief?

NCT ID NCT05370092

Summary

This study tested whether a treatment called percutaneous needle electrolysis could help people with long-term pain and weakness from a damaged tendon in their inner ankle. Researchers compared the needle treatment against a control group to see if it reduced pain and improved people's ability to walk and be active. The goal was to see if this technique is a safe and effective option for managing this common type of tendon injury.
