Zapping ankle pain: can a tiny needle bring relief?

NCT ID NCT05370092

Summary

This study tested whether a treatment called percutaneous needle electrolysis could help people with long-term pain and weakness from a damaged tendon in their inner ankle. Researchers compared the needle therapy against a control treatment in 46 adults who had experienced ankle pain for at least three months. The main goal was to see if the treatment could reduce pain and improve people's ability to walk and perform daily activities.
