Neck stretching may cut itch meds in half

NCT ID NCT06751056

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 31 times

Summary

This small study tests whether gentle neck traction (a type of stretching) can help people with nerve-related itching on the scalp, arms, or upper back use less medication. Twelve adults who already take gabapentin or pregabalin for itch will try daily home traction for 12 weeks. The goal is to see if the treatment safely lowers their drug dose while keeping itch under control.
