Can a brain test predict who gets relief from neck therapy?

NCT ID NCT07194603

Summary

This study aimed to understand if a simple test measuring the brain's ability to inhibit pain could predict who would benefit from a common neck pain treatment. Researchers tested 31 adults with chronic neck pain, gave them one session of spinal joint mobilization, and tracked their pain and function for four weeks. The goal was to see if the brain's pain-control system is linked to how well people respond to this type of hands-on therapy.
