Needle zap or gym stretch? new study tackles stubborn neck pain

NCT ID NCT06695949

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 08, 2026 · Updated 35 times

Summary

This study tested two treatments for people with chronic neck pain that lasts at least 3 months. One group received a treatment called percutaneous neuromodulation, which uses tiny needles to stimulate nerves. The other group did only therapeutic exercises. The goal was to see which approach better reduces pain and improves daily activities like reading, sleeping, and driving. 100 adults aged 30 to 65 took part, and the results help guide choices for managing long-term neck pain.
