First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 23 times

Summary

This study tested whether inhaling nitroglycerin can help open blood vessels in the lungs of people with pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH), a condition where high blood pressure strains the heart. Twenty adults with PAH took part. The goal was to see if this treatment is safe and works as a short-term vasodilator. It is not a cure, but may help manage the disease.
