Summary
This study tests if a mist of dexmedetomidine, given before a breathing tube is placed, can reduce stress reactions like fast heart rate and high blood pressure. About 72 adults having planned surgery will take part. Half get the drug mist, half get a saltwater mist, and their vital signs are compared.
