New software aims to make hip fracture surgery safer and faster

Summary
This study tests a navigation software that helps surgeons place screws more accurately during hip fracture repair. About 96 adults aged 50-85 with certain hip fractures will be randomly assigned to standard surgery or surgery with the software. The goal is to see if the software reduces surgery time, radiation exposure, and improves screw placement.
