New 3D software aims to make hip fracture surgery faster and safer
NCT ID NCT04494672
Summary
This study is testing a new 3D computer navigation system called ADAPT to see if it helps surgeons perform hip fracture repairs better. The software creates a virtual model of the hip bone to guide screw placement during surgery. Researchers want to find out if using this tool leads to more accurate screw positioning, shorter surgery times, and less radiation exposure for patients compared to the standard technique without the software.
