First seen Mar 27, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 8 times
Summary
This study will test whether guided nature-based therapy, like spending time in a therapeutic garden, improves the wellbeing of elderly hospital patients with dementia and patients recovering from a stroke or brain injury. Researchers will measure changes in agitation, mood, and quality of life in 1,600 participants at Changi General Hospital in Singapore. The goal is to see if this gentle, drug-free approach can reduce stress and improve daily life for patients and their caregivers.
