First seen May 08, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 4 times
Summary
This study tested whether a 10-session nature-based contemplation program could improve spiritual well-being and reduce grief symptoms in 262 adults with moderate prolonged grief. Participants either practiced mindful nature contemplation, simply noticed nature, or were placed on a waitlist. The goal was to see if focused contemplation offers extra benefits beyond just being outdoors.
