First seen Jun 27, 2026 ยท Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study tested whether a 2-week nature-based contemplation program could improve spiritual well-being and reduce grief symptoms in 262 adults with moderate prolonged grief. Participants either practiced mindful nature contemplation, simply noticed nature, or were on a waitlist. The goal was to see if focused contemplation offers extra benefits beyond just being outdoors.
