Nose sensor may spot oxygen drops faster than finger clip
NCT ID NCT06398262
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 29 times
Summary
This study tested a new oxygen-measuring clip that goes on the nose instead of the finger. The nose is less affected by cold and closer to the heart and lungs, so it might detect low oxygen levels earlier. 56 adults wore both sensors during and after abdominal surgery to compare how well they worked.
