Summary

This study is testing whether a single dose of insulin, given as a nasal spray, can help reduce alcohol cravings and drinking in people with alcohol use disorder. Researchers will give 40 participants either the insulin spray or a placebo spray in a controlled bar lab setting, then measure their reactions to alcohol cues and a standard alcoholic drink. The main goals are to check if the spray is safe and tolerable, and to see if it interacts safely with alcohol.
