NCT ID NCT05185115

First seen Jan 17, 2026 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 18 times

Summary

This study looks at whether giving extra oxygen through the nose can lower the chance of skin and infection problems after ankle fracture surgery. It includes 200 adults who are at higher risk for these complications, such as smokers or people with diabetes. Half will get oxygen therapy while in the hospital, and the other half will not. Researchers will check for complications up to 6 months after surgery.
