Tiny implants, big smiles: new study tests slim tooth replacements
NCT ID NCT06528587
First seen Jan 10, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 32 times
Summary
This study tested narrow dental implants for people missing a single tooth in the front of the mouth, where there isn't much space or bone. 17 patients received the implants using computer-guided surgery. The goal was to see how much bone loss occurred around the implant and how well the gums and appearance healed. The study found that narrow implants may be a good option to avoid more complex treatments.
