First seen Nov 17, 2025 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 26 times

Summary

This study tests whether narrative therapy—a type of counseling that helps people reshape their personal stories—can reduce mental distress, depression, and anxiety in young people aged 12 to 24 in Hong Kong who have moderate mental health concerns. About 770 participants will be assigned to either six face-to-face therapy sessions or a waitlist. Researchers will measure changes in distress, mood, and sense of control right after treatment and one month later.
