Grapefruit extract could speed up bone repair after fractures
NCT ID NCT06612762
Summary
This study is testing whether naringenin, a natural compound found in citrus fruits like grapefruit, can help broken leg bones heal faster after surgery. Researchers will give 70 patients either the naringenin supplement or a placebo (inactive pill) for 90 days after their operation. They will check if the supplement reduces inflammation and improves the speed of bone fusion and recovery.
