Could grapefruit compound speed up bone healing?
NCT ID NCT06612762
Summary
This study is testing whether naringenin, a natural compound found in citrus fruits, can help broken leg bones heal faster after surgery. Researchers will give 70 patients either naringenin capsules or a placebo (dummy pill) for 90 days after their operation. They will check if the supplement reduces inflammation, helps the bone fuse together more quickly, and improves patients' ability to move and function.
