Animated video calms nerves before nail biopsy, study hopes

NCT ID NCT06274775

First seen Mar 29, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 7 times

Summary

This study is testing whether watching a short animated video about a nail biopsy procedure can help people feel less anxious, understand the procedure better, and be more satisfied with their care. About 30 adults who need a nail biopsy will take part. Half will watch the video before their procedure, and the other half will receive standard care. The researchers will then compare anxiety levels, health literacy, and satisfaction between the two groups.
