Inside the body: new scan reveals how fatty liver changes metabolism
NCT ID NCT07366710
First seen Feb 01, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 20 times
Summary
This study uses advanced full-body PET scans to see how the body handles sugar and amino acids in healthy people and those with non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD). About 36 adults will get one or more scans after taking a special tracer by mouth or IV. The goal is to understand how NAFLD changes metabolism, not to test a treatment.
