First seen Apr 21, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 11 times
Summary
This study tests a newer blood thinner, nafamostat mesylate, against the standard citrate for patients with sepsis and severe kidney injury who need continuous dialysis. The goal is to see if the newer drug works just as well or better at preventing death, ongoing kidney failure, or need for long-term dialysis. About 1,162 adults will take part, and neither they nor their doctors will know which treatment they receive.
