First seen Apr 10, 2026 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This small pilot study looked at whether taking a daily dose of nicotinamide riboside (a form of vitamin B3) for four weeks could improve blood vessel function and thinking skills in older adults with peripheral artery disease (PAD). Eight participants completed the study, and researchers measured changes in blood flow, memory, and attention. The goal was to see if this supplement might help manage the disease and its effects on the brain.
