Summary
This study is testing whether taking the supplement N-acetylcysteine (NAC) can make high-intensity interval training more effective for improving health in adults with overweight or obesity. For 12 weeks, 60 participants will do supervised exercise sessions three times a week, with half also taking NAC pills and half taking a placebo. Researchers will measure changes in body weight, fitness, body fat, liver health, and various blood markers related to inflammation and metabolism.
