First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 24 times

Summary

This study tested whether a cream containing N-acetyl cysteine (NAC) helps people with mild to moderate eczema. The goal was to reduce harmful bacteria on the skin and improve eczema symptoms. One hundred adults took part, applying either the NAC cream or a plain moisturizer. The results will show if NAC can be a helpful new option for managing eczema.
