First seen Dec 16, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 22 times

Summary

This study tests whether N-acetylcysteine (NAC), a common antioxidant, can treat a severe blood-clotting complication that can occur after a stem cell transplant. The trial enrolls 44 adults diagnosed with this condition and measures improvements in blood counts and organ function. If effective, NAC could offer a safe, affordable alternative to current expensive treatments.
