Summary
This study tested whether a medicine called N-Acetylcysteine (NAC) could help people with severe COVID-19 lung failure (ARDS) in the ICU. 59 adults received either NAC or a placebo through a vein. Researchers measured changes in inflammation and blood clotting markers, as well as survival and length of ICU stay.
