First seen Jan 16, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 21 times

Summary

This study tests whether injecting steroids into muscle trigger points can safely ease chronic headache pain. About 1,000 adults with cervicogenic headache will receive either a trigger point injection or a nerve block. Researchers will track pain levels and headache frequency for up to 2 years to see if the simpler injection works just as well.
