First seen Jan 16, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 19 times

Summary

This study is testing whether injecting a common anti-inflammatory medicine into muscle trigger points can relieve chronic headache pain as well as a standard nerve block injection. The trial will include 1036 adults aged 18-65 with cervicogenic headache (headache coming from the neck) that hasn't responded to usual painkillers. Participants will receive either the trigger point injection or the nerve block, and their pain levels, headache frequency, and quality of life will be tracked for up to 2 years.
