Gentle touch beats massage for quick neck pain relief, small study finds
NCT ID NCT07515352
First seen Apr 21, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 5 times
Summary
This study tested two physical therapy techniques—myofascial release and positional release—in 30 young adults with neck pain from trapezitis. Both treatments reduced pain and improved movement when combined with simple exercises. Positional release worked faster for short-term relief, making it a good first choice for quick symptom easing.
