First seen Jan 12, 2026 · Last updated May 26, 2026 · Updated 20 times
Summary
This study tested whether adding a muscle relaxation technique to standard myofascial release (a type of massage) helps people with chronic neck pain more than myofascial release alone. 44 adults with neck pain lasting at least 3 months took part. Researchers measured pain levels and neck disability before and after 6 weeks of treatment.
