Foam rolling may ease diabetic foot pain, new study suggests

NCT ID NCT07414914

First seen Feb 27, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 13 times

Summary

This study looks at whether adding a self-massage technique called myofascial release to a regular exercise program can help people with type 2 diabetes have better foot function, balance, and walking ability. Forty adults aged 30 to 65 with controlled diabetes will be split into two groups: one doing only exercise, and the other doing exercise plus foam rolling before each session. The goal is to see if the extra step makes a real difference in foot comfort and daily movement.
