New trial aims to wipe out lingering cancer cells in myeloma

Summary
This study is testing a two-part strategy for adults newly diagnosed with multiple myeloma. After initial treatment, patients receive different drug combinations based on whether tiny amounts of cancer cells are still detectable. The goal is to see if these combinations can eliminate the remaining cancer cells or convert a positive test to negative, aiming for deeper, longer-lasting control of the disease.
