New drug combo aims to tame rare blood cancer

Summary
This study is testing whether adding a new drug called ulixertinib to an existing medication (ruxolitinib) is safe and more effective for treating myelofibrosis, a rare bone marrow cancer. Researchers will enroll 37 adults who are already taking ruxolitinib but still have significant disease symptoms or an enlarged spleen. The main goals are to find the highest dose of ulixertinib that causes few side effects and to see if the combination helps patients feel better or reduces their cancer burden.
