NCT ID NCT06951269
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 30 times
Summary
This study looks at whether live music therapy can lower pain in newborns with hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy (a type of brain injury from lack of oxygen) who are receiving cooling therapy. About 22 babies in the NICU will either get standard care or standard care plus a 15-minute music session after a routine nursing procedure. Researchers will measure pain using a special scale and check vital signs to see if music helps these infants feel more comfortable.
