Music may replace morphine: new study tests tunes during hernia surgery

Summary
This study looks at whether playing music before or during hernia repair surgery can help lower pain after the operation. About 308 adults having surgery at Bethesda Surgery Center will take part. Researchers will measure pain scores and how much narcotic pain medicine is needed in the recovery room.
