Music as medicine: new study tests if playing music relieves back pain

Summary

This study tests whether active music-based activities can improve thinking, pain sensitivity, and quality of life in people with chronic low back pain. About 40 adults aged 18-65 with long-term back pain will attend 5 sessions over 2 weeks. Researchers will measure changes in cognitive function, pain, and daily well-being.
