First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated Apr 27, 2026 · Updated 25 times

Summary

This study looks at whether listening to calming music during the first radiation session can lower anxiety, stress, and pain for cancer patients. 72 adults starting radiation treatment will be split into two groups: one gets standard care, the other also gets a 15-20 minute music therapy session. Researchers will compare their feelings before and after treatment using simple surveys.
