Can a favorite song wake up an Alzheimer's brain?
NCT ID NCT05309369
Summary
This study tested whether listening to music with personal meaning could improve alertness and brain function in people with moderate to severe Alzheimer's disease. Ten participants listened to short, meaningful songs and, separately, nature sounds while researchers used brain scans to measure activity. The goal was to see if this type of music therapy could be a helpful, non-drug way to manage symptoms.
