First seen Nov 18, 2025 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 17 times
Summary
This study tests whether listening to music during a prostate biopsy can lower pain and anxiety. Prostate biopsy is a key test for diagnosing prostate cancer, but it can be uncomfortable. The study will involve 78 men who are having a transperineal prostate biopsy. Half will listen to music during the procedure, and the other half will not. Researchers will compare pain scores, anxiety levels, and the need for pain medication between the two groups.
