First seen May 17, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This study looked at whether playing calming instrumental music during an outpatient hysteroscopy (a procedure to look inside the uterus) can help postmenopausal women feel less pain and anxiety and be more satisfied with their care. A total of 124 women took part, with half listening to music during the procedure and half receiving standard care. The results showed that music helped reduce pain and anxiety and improved overall satisfaction.
