NCT ID NCT05472909
First seen Nov 05, 2025 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 29 times
Summary
This study looks at whether playing your own choice of music during wide-awake hand surgery can lower anxiety more than standard relaxation music. About 170 adults having hand surgery with only local anesthesia will be randomly assigned to one of two music groups. Researchers will measure anxiety levels before, during, and after surgery using questionnaires and vital signs.
